The planned head-to-head trials of the Defense Research and Development Organization’s (DRDO) Arjun Main Battle Tank (MBT) and the Russian-designed T-90 may be delayed.
Officers at the Ministry of Defense told StratPost, the uncertainty over the formation of the next government and the defense minister may lead to the trials being postponed.
“June was the period that was planned. But it seems it could be later, depending on who takes over,” said a source at the ministry.
“While we would like to get it over with, especially since after June the monsoon could hinder the schedule. But the uncertainty might lead to delays. We’ve seen the exit polls. If they hold any water, it could be a while before we have new boss,” he said.
