Boeing has appointed Salil Gupte to succeed Pratyush Kumar as president of Boeing India.

According to a statement issued last week, Gupte was ‘vice president of Boeing Capital Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company’ and will ‘serve as Boeing’s senior executive in India, and report to Marc Allen, president of Boeing International’, from March 18, 2019.

According to Boeing, Gupte joined the company in 2009 in the ‘services strategy and business development team of Boeing Commercial Airplanes’. “Previously he was with Citigroup and Goldman Sachs, as an investment banker in the aviation and infrastructure sectors. Gupte earned his MBA from Stanford University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Cornell University,” said the company statement.

Pratyush Kumar left the position in November 2018 to go as ‘vice president and program manager of Boeing’s F-15 fighter aircraft program’.
