28 Indian warbirds to buzz Republic Day parade

28 aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) and army will overfly the Republic Day parade next Wednesday in New Delhi including 13 fighters and five transport aircraft. Ten helicopters, including three Indian Army Dhruv Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH) will also be part of the flypast.

The crest of the Indian Navy’s new UAV squadron, INAS (Indian Naval Air Squadron) 343, which will be commissioned in Porbandar in Gujarat on Monday. The squadron will operate Searcher and Heron UAVs. The navy’s first UAV squadron is INAS 342 based in Kochi in Kerala. The navy plans a third squadron at INS Parundu at Ramanathapuram in Tamil Nadu.

Israel to sell UAVs to Russia

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) CEO, Itzhak Nissan and the Director General of the Oboronprom Russian Industrial Corporation, Andrey Reus, signed an agreement on Tuesday to sell UAV assembly elements and services to Oboronprom from next year.

IAF C-130J makes first flight

Army chief visits Skinner’s Horse
