The Indian Army and the Botswana Defense Forces (BDF) are to hold a joint logistics exercise at Dehradun in India, in the first week of October. This is at a request of the BDF, made during a visit by the Indian Army Chief of Staff to that country. The week-long exercise will begin on October 3. “A 15-member delegation of BDF Officers, led by their Chief of Staff Logistic, Brigadier George Modirwa Tlhalerws, is to arrive in India on 02 Oct,” said the Indian Army.
India has a training team in Botswana to ‘facilitate training of personnel of Botswana Defence Forces’ and the exercise, named Milap, will ‘aim to give exposure to personnel of BDF on a wide spectrum of issues related to logistics support for a fighting force’, said a statement.
