The Indian Army conducted a successful combat launch of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile on December 01, 2025 from a test range in the Bay of Bengal. According to the Army, the mission was executed by a BrahMos unit of Southern Command with support from the Tri-Services Andaman & Nicobar Command.
The missile, fitted with updated guidance and control systems, engaged a designated target and met all operational parameters under simulated battle conditions. The Army stated that the launch validated the system’s performance, high-speed flight stability and terminal accuracy, and demonstrated the preparedness of BrahMos units to undertake precision-strike missions.
