The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) commissioned ICG Ship Amulya in Goa on December 19, 2025, marking the induction of the third vessel in a series of eight Adamya-class Fast Patrol Vessels. The 51-metre ship has been designed and built by Goa Shipyard Limited as part of India’s ongoing naval construction programme.

According to the Coast Guard, Amulya incorporates more than 60 percent indigenous components and reflects current design standards focused on operational reach and response time. The vessel is powered by two 3,000 kW diesel engines, giving it a top speed of 27 knots and an endurance of 1,500 nautical miles. It is equipped with domestically produced weapons and systems.

The ship is intended to carry out a range of maritime security tasks, including coastal surveillance, interdiction, search and rescue, anti-smuggling operations, and pollution response. It will be based at Paradip in Odisha and will operate under the administrative and operational control of the Commander, Coast Guard Region (North East).

ICGS Amulya is commanded by Commandant (JG) Anupam Singh and has a crew of five officers and 34 personnel. The commissioning ceremony was presided over by Joint Secretary (IC), Ceremonial and CAO, Shri Amitabh Prasad, and attended by officials from the Coast Guard, government authorities, and Goa Shipyard Limited.
