LockMart to fly in F-16 pair

US defense company Lockheed Martin is planning to lease two F-16 Block 60 aircraft from the United Arab Emirates Air Force and will fly them in for Aero India 2011, next month. It also plans to get a cockpit demonstrator for the F-16IN, the aircraft the company is pitching in the 126 Medium Multi Role Combat Aircraft (MMRCA) tender of the Indian Air Force (IAF).

The defense giant is also planning to fly in a WC-130 weather reconnaissance aircraft, which it plans to pitch to a civilian organization, believed to be the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
