Myanmar’s spec ops chief in India

The Myanmar Army’s commander of the Bureau of Special Operations, Lieutenant General Thar Aye is on a visit to India that began on Monday and will last till Friday.

Landing in Kolkata, he was slated to meet the General-Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of the Eastern Command Lieutenant General Bikram Singh and is also to meet the army chief General VK Singh, the vice chief, Lieutenant General PC Bharadwaj and the Director General of Military Intelligence Lieutenant General RK Loomba.

He is also expected to travel to Amritsar and visit the 15 Infantry Division, besides visiting the National Defense College and the War Gaming Development Center (WARDEC) in New Delhi.
