Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath flagged off the first batch of BrahMos missiles from the new BrahMos Integration and Testing Facility in Lucknow, marking a major step in the UP Defence Industrial Corridor’s expansion of indigenous missile production.

LCA MK1A Flies Over New Production Line

HAL’s Nashik facility has conducted the first flight of the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Mk1A and inaugurated new production lines for the fighter and the HTT-40 trainer aircraft. The expansion is intended to increase LCA output to 24 aircraft annually and represents a major boost to India’s indigenous manufacturing capacity.

INS Trikand stealth frigate joins navy

The Trikand is the 2nd-last foreign surface ship acquisition by the Indian Navy. The induction of the aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya (nee Admiral Gorshkov) will be the last surface ship acquired by the Indian Navy from abroad.

Teg, INS

The Talwar-class (Krivak-III) frigate, Teg, will be commissioned into the the Indian Navy at Yantar shipyard at Kaliningrad by Vice Admiral K.N. Sushil on Friday. This will be the first to carry the sea launched BrahMos cruise missile, instead of the Klub-N missile and will be commanded by Captain Rakesh Kumar Dahiya.

India, Russia to move on MTA, FGFA
