France has ordered two GlobalEye airborne early warning and control aircraft from Saab in a contract worth about SEK 12.3 billion. Deliveries are planned between 2029 and 2032, and the agreement includes training, support, ground equipment, and an option for two more aircraft.
France’s DGA has selected Airbus Defence and Space for a framework contract of up to €50 million to integrate artificial intelligence into French military systems, beginning with upgrades to the Spationav maritime surveillance network and expanding into intelligence, cybersecurity and communications.
Croatia has ordered 18 CAESAR MkII artillery systems and 15 Serval armored vehicles under a French-led joint procurement mechanism funded by the EU SAFE programme and includes a full regimental capability package of radars, command-and-control elements, logistics vehicles and optronic equipment.
Although no order has been placed yet, France has decided to purchase two Saab GlobalEye Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft with an option for two additional aircraft, while Saab has ordered two Bombardier 6500 aircraft platforms for the GlobalEye.
