
A recent intelligence alert has warned of terror attacks by Laskhar e Toiba in Jammu and Kashmir in the coming days, putting the sputtering dialogue between India and Pakistan under pressure.

The army has reported the killing of two terrorists belonging to the Lashkar e Toiba in Bhadarwa in Doda in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Islamabad’s response to the Mumbai attack highlights its unwillingness to accept the involvement of Pakistani entities. Such an attitude diminishes further the credibility of Pakistan’s commitment to counter-terrorism and has longer-term implications for South Asian security.
