Mercedes-Benz Eyes Defence Vehicle Growth

Mercedes-Benz has announced a tie-up with drone start-up Tytan Technologies at the International Aerospace Exhibition in Berlin, the centrepiece of which is to be a drone defence system, for which the Stuttgart-based brand is to provide the carrier vehicles.

Australia Orders 268 Next-Gen Bushmasters

The Australian Government has committed AU$750 million for 268 next-generation Bushmaster vehicles to be built by Thales Australia. Production will begin in 2027, with upgrades to protection, mobility, and modular systems and a left-hand drive version for the export market.

Leonardo–Rheinmetall To Supply Combat Vehicles to Italian Army

The Leonardo Rheinmetall Military Vehicles joint venture has received its first contract to supply 21 A2CS Combat vehicles to the Italian Army, marking a major step in Italy–Germany defence cooperation and European industrial integration. The supply is part of the Italian Army’s A2CS – Army Armoured Combat System program, which plans for a total acquisition of 1,050 armoured combat vehicles to replace its current heavy vehicle fleet.
