DRDO Test Flies VSHORADS

DRDO has carried out three successive flight-trials of the Very Short-Range Air Defence System (VSHORADS) at the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur, Odisha. The man-portable missile system intercepted simulated high-speed aerial targets and is intended for use by all three armed services.

The Indian Air Force conducted Exercise Vayushakti-26 at Pokhran, involving over 130 aircraft in day and night operations. President Droupadi Murmu attended the demonstration and flew in an LCH Prachand as the exercise simulated integrated combat, air defence and special forces missions.

India, U.S. sign ten-year defence framework

India and the United States have signed a new ten-year framework to guide their major defence partnership, covering cooperation in technology, industry and military coordination, during a meeting at the ADMM-Plus in Kuala Lumpur, with Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh saying the framework “will provide policy direction to the entire spectrum of the India-U.S. defence relationship.”

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath flagged off the first batch of BrahMos missiles from the new BrahMos Integration and Testing Facility in Lucknow, marking a major step in the UP Defence Industrial Corridor’s expansion of indigenous missile production.
