
The German Navy has taken delivery of its first NH90 Sea Tiger helicopter, with a total of 31 Sea Tigers planned to replaced the Sea Lynx fleet. The NH90 is equipped with sonar systems and can deploy torpedoes and anti-ship missiles.

A Russian Navy Pacific Fleet detachment including large anti-submarine ships and corvettes conducted air defence and anti-submarine warfare exercises in the Sea of Japan, engaging simulated missile and submarine targets as part of scheduled combat training. According to the Russian Navy, these exercises are part of ongoing fleet training to enhance coordination between surface ships and aviation units in anti-submarine and air defence operations.

The Russian Defence Ministry has announced the launch of the nuclear-powered submarine Khabarovsk from the Sevmash shipyard in Severodvinsk, designed under Project 09851 and intended to carry advanced underwater weapons and unmanned systems. Designed by the Rubin Central Design Bureau, it is reportedly derived from the Borei-class ballistic missile submarine.

The Pentagon said last week the U.S. will indefinitely postpone a military exercise in Georgia ‘due to the Georgian government’s false accusations against the United States and other western entities, to pressure Georgia to open a second front against Russia to alleviate pressure on Ukraine, and of participating in two coup attempts against the ruling party.’
The construction of India’s first Indigenous Aircraft Carrier (IAC) at Cochin is expected to be completed in December this year, after which the warship will be launched, Defense Minister Arackaparambil Kurien Antony said Tuesday.
A squadron of four ships is on an extensive tour of ports in the Arabian Sea, Red Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Atlantic Ocean, North Sea and the Baltic Sea. The ships will also conduct major exercises with Russia, the UK and France.
