Australia’s new Super Hornets

Five new Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornets at the Royal Australian Air Force base at Amberley in Queensland on Friday. Australia intends to acquire a total of 24 Super Hornets, delivery of which is expected to be complete by 2011. The aircraft are equipped with the Raytheon-built APG-79 Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar.
