Norway, Ukraine Sign Drone Production Deal

Norway and Ukraine have signed an agreement to begin joint production of Ukrainian drones in Norway under the “Build with Ukraine” initiative. The deal includes industrial cooperation, research, and supply chain development, with deliveries expected before summer.

Germany has released a new military strategy to counter Russia, focusing on rearmament and stronger forces. The plan highlights air defence, long-range weapons and new technologies to boost readiness.

U.S. Launches Final GPS III Satellite

The U.S. Space Force’s Space Systems Command (SSC) and Combat Forces Command (CFC) successfully launches the National Security Space Launch (NSSL) Global Positioning System (GPS) III-8 mission with the final GPS III satellite, Space Vehicle 10 (SV-10), into medium Earth orbit (MEO) on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on from Space Launch Complex (SLC)-40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida on April 21, 2026. SSC’s System Delta 80 (SYD 80), which manages the NSSL program for Space Access, provided the critical mission assurance to safely deliver SV-10, working in closer partnership with CFC’s Mission Delta 31 (MD 31), to complete the GPS III program, marking 32 active satellites in the constellation. The U.S. Space Force has launched the final GPS III satellite, completing a 32-satellite constellation. The GPS III-8 mission includes new technologies such as optical crosslinks and improved timing systems to support military and civilian navigation services worldwide.

Germany Weighs Raising Reservist Age Limit

UK to Send 120,000 Drones to Ukraine

The United Kingdom will supply at least 120,000 drones to Ukraine in 2026 as part of a wider military support programme. The package includes strike, reconnaissance and logistics drones, alongside artillery and air defence support.

Norway and Ukraine have agreed to expand defence cooperation with a focus on drone production, including enabling Ukrainian drones to be built in Norway. The deal also covers joint development, technology sharing, and scaling up air defence and military production.

Sweden Plans Aurora 26 Military Drills

Sweden will conduct Aurora 26, its largest military exercise of the year, from 27 April to 13 May. The drills will involve over 16,000 personnel and allied forces, focusing on reinforcement operations, coordination, and defence planning under NATO frameworks.
