Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), part of the Rostec State Corporation, has delivered another batch of Su-34 fighter-bombers to the Russian Ministry of Defence.

The Su-34 is a twin-seat, twin-engine fighter-bomber designed for engaging ground and aerial targets, including those protected by air defence systems, as well as for conducting reconnaissance missions.

A pilot from the Russian Aerospace Forces said the new aircraft were delivered as part of the ongoing effort to meet the Ministry of Defence’s requirements for operational equipment. “The Su-34 has proven itself in the area of the special military operation. It features a wide range of armaments and is capable of using advanced weapons to achieve operational objectives,” the pilot said.

Rostec stated that the Su-34 continues to serve as a key platform for frontline aviation, with the capacity to carry a variety of weapons ranging from unguided bombs to precision-guided missiles. “In combat conditions, the Su-34 consistently performs both air-to-air and air-to-ground missions at significant distances from base airfields,” the company said.

UAC General Director Vadim Badeha said production of the Su-34 remains on schedule. “Our factory teams are maintaining a steady production rate to meet the planned volumes under the State Defense Order. Engineers at the Sukhoi Design Bureau are also incorporating operational experience from the special military operation to further improve the aircraft,” he said.

The Su-34 is currently in serial production at the Novosibirsk Aircraft Plant.
