Russia’s arms export agency, Rosoboronexport will show-off its fifth generation Sukhoi-57 stealth fighter at the Dubai Airshow for the first time.

The platform will host the Middle Eastern debut of the Su-57E fifth-generation fighter, which will participate in the airshow’s flight demonstration programme. Mikheev stated, “Today, Russia is the only country that offers not only the supply of fifth-generation fighters but also the localization of Su-57E production on the territory of a foreign customer.” The fighter will be displayed alongside air-to-air and air-to-surface weapons, including the RVV-MD2, Kh-38MLE, Kh-69, Grom-E1 and the extended-range RVV-BD missile.

The Yak-130M combat trainer will make its world premiere, featuring updated avionics, an airborne radar, a targeting pod and the President-S130 electronic warfare system. Its weapons integration includes the RVV-MD missile and KAB-250LG-E and K08BE guided bombs.

Rosoboronexport, a subsidiary of Russia’s state corporation Rostec, will also showcase a record number of full-scale defence systems at the Dubai Airshow 2025, scheduled from November 17 to 21 in the United Arab Emirates. The organisation announced that it is coordinating the unified Russian pavilion covering 1,000 square metres and featuring products from major Russian defence manufacturers, including the United Aircraft Corporation, United Engine Corporation, Radio-Electronic Technologies Concern, Almaz-Antey and the Tactical Missiles Corporation.

According to Rosoboronexport, more than 850 Russian products will be presented at the exhibition, with over 30 displayed in full-scale form. Alexander Mikheev, Director General of Rosoboronexport, said, “The Dubai Airshow is a global platform where trends in the aerospace and defence industries are shaped. In 2025, Rosoboronexport will showcase more than 850 Russian products here… 30+ most in-demand ones in a full-scale version will be on static display on the ground and in a pavilion.” He added that the company would hold discussions with military delegations from the Middle East, North Africa and other regions.

Other major aircraft on static display include the IL-76MD-90A(E) military transport aircraft, which Rosoboronexport says can carry payloads of up to 60 tons over 4,000 km or 52 tons over 5,000 km. The aircraft is equipped with a multi-channel electro-optical system for identifying airdrop zones and can be optionally fitted with the President-S self-protection system.

The Ka-52 reconnaissance and attack helicopter will participate in the flying display, and several weapons designed for rotary-wing platforms will be exhibited, including the Kh-MD and Kh-38MLE missiles, as well as the 305E guided missile.

In the unmanned systems segment, Rosoboronexport will display Orlan-10E, Orlan-30 and Skat-350M drones. Loitering munitions, including the upgraded Lancet-E and KUB-2-2E, will also be exhibited.

For the first time, full-scale air defence systems will form part of Russia’s exhibit. These include the Pantsir-SMD-E system, designed to counter UAVs and various aerodynamic threats. It features modular architecture and carries up to 48 short-range missiles or 12 medium-range missiles per combat module. Additional systems on display will include the Verba MANPADS, Dzhigit launcher and SKVP airspace control system.

Rosoboronexport stated that it will use the airshow to pursue discussions on technology cooperation. Mikheev noted, “We’ll focus on technology cooperation… and discuss promising [projects], including those related to the products presented at the airshow.”
